Lawry Bickford has over 30 years experience in the upstream oil and gas industry encompassing a wide range of technical, commercial and man-management roles, primarily working with the major IOCs Exxon and Shell. He has worked on the economic evaluation, planning and project execution of many UK North Sea projects and also has significant experience in risk, safety and environmental management, including emergency response. Lawry also has significant experience in risk, safety and environmental management, including emergency response and was heavily involved in implementing management system improvements following the Piper Alpha disaster and Exxon Valdez oil spill, and contributed to a number of UKOOA and E&P Forum initiatives.
More recently Lawry has specialised in European gas production, transportation and marketing, during which time he has been involved in managing major change programmes associated with business reorganisations and divestments. He holds a BSc degree in civil engineering and specialises in projects in the oil & gas industries and in business performance development.
